Anne Drennen of Newburgh passed away August 1, 2023 at her home in Newburgh, NY. She was 67. Anne was an artist. She went to school for photography and loved to find beautiful landscapes to photograph. She was a lifelong advocate for mental health, civil rights, and animal rights. Anne cared deeply for her family and above all else, she loved and adored her granddaughter Hyla. Anne is survived by her children Dylan Bell, Aidan Bell and his wife Laurel, her granddaughter, Hyla, her ex-husband David Bell, her brothers, Jack T. Drennen, Jr. and his wife, Phyllis, James Drennen and his wife, Mary, William Drennen and his wife, Sally, Tom Drennen, James Coleman and his wife, Jenny , Dan Drennen and his wife, Kathy, and Joseph Drennen and his wife, Sylvia and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her longtime partner Maurice Miller, her parents Jack T. Drennen, Sr and Elizabeth "Betty" Drennen and her three brothers, George, Edward, Robert, and her nephews Jackie and Jeffery. Anne spent several years marching in Albany for mental health rights, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anne’s name to Mental Health America https://give.classy.org/Anne_Drennen.
