Obituary of Rosaria Macchiarella

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Rosaria Macchiarella of New Windsor NY. She was 82. Rosaria is the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Muscaglione, she was born on July 7, 1941 in Mezzojuso, Sicily. She earned a doctrine in Italian literature at the University of Palermo and become a professor. She was fluent in six languages. Rosaria married her late husband Isidore Macchiarella and moved to America, where she raised her children. She was caring, loving and extremely devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and dedicated her life to the Word of God. Rosaria Macchiarella is survived by her children Pietro, Rosaria, and Francesco Macchiarella. Her brother Salvatore Muscaglione and wife Violet. Grandchildren Legend Thomas and Tyrell Richards. In-laws Stefania and Vincent Cracolici, Adriana and Sebastiano Giordano, Mimma and Dominick Scaglione, Felippa and Nino LoPresti, Rosetta and her late husband Stefano Macchiarella. Her closest cousins Giuseppa, Liborio, and Giovanna Muscaglione. And many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday September 22, 2023 at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc. 239 Quassaick Avenue (Route94) New Windsor, NY 12553. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday September 23, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church Newburgh, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery New Windsor, NY
